There are people in our community who, for a variety of reasons, are unable to cook or shop for themselves with ease. Their ability to live independently is enhanced by Sutherland Food Services.

Is Sutherland Food Services a Government Service?2021-03-25T04:07:05+00:00

No, Sutherland Food Services is an independent community based organisation, incorporated in NSW with oversight by a volunteer Board. The cost of meals is primarily covered by our modest charges, with the balance coming from The Department of Health.

Anybody who has difficulty with shopping or cooking for themselves can use our service. If you’re unsure whether the service is right for you, give us a call so we can help to source the best option for you and your situation. Please be aware, there may be an additional small charge depending on your circumstances.

How do I access your service and do I need a referral?2021-03-25T04:08:18+00:00

Simply contact our office on 1300 637 301 and one of our staff will assist you. You don’t need a formal referral to access our services, although they are happily accepted from general practitioners, healthcare professionals or community care providers.

If you are over 65 it is recommended that you contact My Aged Care on 1800 200 422.

Our team works with you to commence service as quickly as possible depending on your circumstances.

Our meals are produced through our network of reliable and trusted providers who are all HACCAP approved. We are also able to source a variety of special meals, such as pureed, blended or minced meals.

Do I have to have your service every day?2021-03-25T04:08:45+00:00

No! You’re in control of your service and we are here to work with you. While Sutherland Food Services can provide breakfast, lunch or dinner, the frequency of deliveries is entirely dependent on your lifestyle. You’re in control every step of the way.

We send out a detailed invoice at the beginning of each month with a variety of payment options including Direct Debit.
